Sort of Like a Cross Between a Therapist and an Analyst

First my back is killing me, now this:

[I]t looks like Arrested Development won't be making the leap to Showtime. Creator Mitch Hurwitz dropped the bomb yesterday that he's jumping ship from the brilliant but ratings-challenged sitcom, a decision that will probably put the kibosh on Arrested getting picked up by the pay-cable channel.

I'm going to go lie on the floor now.

terrible news.

after praying and wishing that this show would find a proper home on cable, i kept my fingers crossed all summer that the Showtime thing would work out. and then, this.

i'm of the opinion that AD never lost momentum, despite the criminal treatment under FOX's tyranny. even the uneven, random, third season contained some of the funniest episodes.

truly a sad day for original television.
