An Announcement, No Longer Withheld
Alan's finally blogged it, so I can now tell you that my story "Shackles" will appear in Rabid Transit 5. Yee-haw! And check out this TOC:

sweet! welcome to the Ratbastards crew, Dave. t-shirt and fake-teeth are in the mail.
Yay!
Thanks, folks! I'm very excited to be in RT, and in such good company!
Chiming in with tardy congrats!
It just dawned on me that three of us (and the spouse of another...) were in LCRW #13. It's like a flashforward reunion.
Let's do this dozens more times.

Geoff, we may have to form a quartet of some sort, with Tim and Heather alternating. I'll do the elephant rumbles if you do the dog calls.
Hey, any plans to be at WisCon or WFC this year?
I can probably mumble while doing a falsetto, but my dog calls sound like grunts and then people who are lovely but not my type end up asking me out. (Once it was seven extras from Hee Haw. We had sushi with grits. I wanted my vegetable sushi without grits, but removing the grits costed extra.)
No on either con. A pretty solid yes on Readercon though...
PS -- My secret word for verification was "modan." It sounds like a slang phrase meaning: former gaffer on deleted scenes from Hee Haw.
Geoffrey
Congratulations! I luv that series of fiction. Very fancy!
Pam
Thanks to everyone for the kind words!
Modan Geoff, I don't know if I'll get to Readercon this year. I was there about ten years ago--my first con--and it was great. Like to get back there one of these times.
